Hey, I recently went to Cambodia on a school trip, in which we built houses for struggling families under the Tabitha Foundation. One of the days we also visited the Sunshine Centre, which our school currently donates money to. We had a great day playing with the kids and it broke my heart to think that later on I might see these kids rumaging through rubbish in order to earn money. What the Sunshine Centre is doing is absolutely amazing, they are providing these children with hope for the future. I was soo inspired that I will be presenting a slide show to the school on it. Keep up the good work everyone and keep smiling like all those little kids do! :)
Thanks Emmymoo for your encouraging words, I'm sorry I missed your school's visit. The SC kids will start a special six-week program of school holiday activities (they are on hols until October!) tomorrow and I'm sure they'll have a lot of fun with jewellery making, sewing cushions and shorts and playing sports! Check out the July newsletter too!
